About Me
My passion for technology began at an early age. My mother loves to recount how I once disassembled the VCR to understand how it worked. In my pre-teen years, I was given a Commodore 128 along with a thick manual for coding programs. During my teen years, I received a Packard Bell instead of braces and learned how to modify and overclock it to its limits.
My IT career kicked off at 16 when I managed to "hack" into the local ISP's server, granting my account unlimited free dial-up access. The owner of the company noticed and, instead of getting me in trouble, decided to take me under his wing, teaching me to use my powers for good. I worked there until it shut down in the late '90s and then continued seeking opportunities to grow my technical talents.
In 2005, I started working on the help desk at a large corporate office. Thankfully, senior staff saw potential in me and invested their time and energy into mentoring me. I am now celebrating my 20th anniversary at this company and doing my best to nurture those who share my passion.
